Historically smudging has been practised by many ethnic groups including most famously the Native American Indians tribes.

The smudge stick when lit will smoulder.

Use a feather or your hand to waft the smoke into the corners of rooms or any space you wish to clear.

Incantations, chants and prayers etc can be used to enhance the ritual.

Abalone shells are traditionally used to rest your smudge stick in while you make your way around a building or a room.

Never leave any smouldering item unattended and always place in a fire proof container.
