When considering the individual spiritual development in the course of human evolution, be it within the eastern school of though or within the wester esoteric schools, we cannot but talk about the seven chakras.
Usually, these seven energy centers or wheels of light are thought to be among the most important symbols of various different Yogic systems of self-realization. These centers, however, as an integral part of human inner organization, are equally important for the western mystical schools of self growth and self-discovery.
The seven chakras are, of course, not to be found on the physical level.
This is no surprise, since here we are talking about very subtle, invisible centers of spiritual energy.
Although invisible, the whole system of energy centers and energy channels is a foundation which animates our physicality, and thanks to it we consider ourselves living entities.
Within this network of energy channels and energy centers there are much more than 7 chakras, but seven are the main ones. Today in the human physical body we can see a representation of these centers.
If the chakras were to densify and descent to the physical level, they would be at the very same spots as the areas where the seven main glands of the endocrine system are located.
Cultivating the 7 chakras means preparing them for awakening of the so-called "serpent power" or kundalini.
This is the process that leads to spiritual self-realization. Kundalini is the energy that rises up the spinal cord, through the so called Sushumna channel (the most important of the 72000 energy channels within the subtle body).
During this process of rising up the Kundalini, the energy centers are awakened from their inactive state and they develop their full potential.
This process usually takes several incarnations and thousands of years to be fully completed.
One way or the other, spiritual awakening demands awakening of the kundalini energy. In its dormant state Kundalini is located at the base of the spine, and only a minute part of this energy is needed for maintaining our body and its functions and our normal emotional and mental processes.
In the awakened state, kundalini is able to open up our consciousness toward the Cosmic consciousness, bringing us further than we have ever been able to imagine.
This evolution potential is already there, waiting within our seven chakras. Each chakra is represented by a circle of energy, and each of them plays a special role in healing and self-healing.
The seven chakras can be divided into three primary regions. The lower three chakras (root, sacral and solar plexus chakra) are very close to each other - only 10 to 15 centimeters apart, if we count them from the root of the spinal cord. The root or base chakra is opened towards the earth, connecting us with the energy of our planet, and at the same time grounding us firmly to it.
Similarly, the tree higher chakras - throat chakra, third eye and crown chakra - are closely connected to each other, governing the higher mental centers. The crown chakra is opening toward the sky, ready to receive Divine energies and higher guidance from above.
In between the two, there is the heart chakra, which joins the lower and higher chakras together. This is the area of the Sun of our microcosms.
To recapitulate we have the following chakras (The Sanskrit expression is given first):
Sahasrara - crown chakra.
Ajna - third eye chakra.
Visshuddha - throat chakra.
Anahata - hearth chakra.
Manipura - solar plexus chakra.
Svadhisthana - sacral chakra.
Muladhara - root chakra.
This is only a brief overview of the basic terms connected to the chakras. Please note that a second of practice is more useful than tons of theory on this subject.
Therefore, you should try to get in touch with your spiritual teacher and start conducting a practical metaphysical work and meditative chakra techniques.
At the end, as a reward, the infinite omnipresent Divine Love will be achieved through your mastering the 7 chakras.

Try This Chakra Meditation
By: Trevor Dumbleton
Chakra meditation helps to strengthen weak chakras and will benefit your health, wisdom and happiness.
If you need to recharge your body, mind and soul then using chakra meditation is an excellent way to revitalize you from the inside out.
How to perform a chakra meditation
The first few times you practice a chakra meditation, make sure that you have an expert to guide you. Ideally face to face, but at least with a guided CD. You need to make sure that your chakras are left more in balance at the end of the meditation than they were when you started!
Start your meditation by sitting down, cross legged in a quiet, dimly lit room
Make sure that your spine is straight but not stiff
Close your eyes then take a deep breath and start to relax
Now go through each chakra in turn, starting with the root chakra:
Imagine that you are drawing energy up from the earth, through the root chakra and that this is building up in the base of your spine.
Then the navel chakra: feel the concentration of energy building up around your navel and visualize a flow of warm lava out of this chakra center.
Moving on to the solar plexus chakra, let your stomach muscles relax deeply and sense the movement of the energy through your diaphragm.
Next is the heart chakra. Imagine your heart getting stronger with every breath. See and feel a bright light radiating out from this area.
Progressing on to the throat chakra, breath in with force. Then gradually relax your tongue, shoulders and neck.
For the brow chakra, keeping your eyes closed, focus on your "third eye" (the point between your eyebrows). Endeavor to see this area even though your eyes are close and observe what you are seeing.
Finally, it's the crown chakra. Visualize a beautiful lotus with a thousand petals blossoming from the tip of your head.
As you visualize, see the color change from a deep violet through to a brilliant white light.
Done correctly, the chakra meditation can bring you into union with your God. It is a very powerful form of meditation and helps you to stabilize your body, bringing an inner peace and harmony to you.

The Reiki Symbols
The Reiki Symbols by Samantha HallThere are many Reiki symbols that have already been revealed and each of them is thought to possess a unique vibration of energy.
At one point, they didn’t have any names and were simply numbered from one to five. But later on, each one of them stood for something and here they are.
The first is called Cho Ku Rei and is referred to as the Power Symbol. In simple terms, this means “put all the power of the universe here.” This allows the user to draw energy from the surroundings so you can focus it where you want it to.
This can be used for aid in manifestation, cleanse negative energies, empower other Reiki symbols, for spiritual protection, spot treatments, and seal the energies after the treatment.
Next is called Sei He Ki also known as the Mental Emotional symbol because it helps those who are suffering from an emotional or mental imbalance.
Sei He Ki means “God and Humanity Becomes One.” This enables the person to find activate Kundalini during meditations, balance between the left and right side of the brain, bring harmony and peace, cleansing, improve one’s memory, clear blockages and aligns the upper chakras, provide psychic protection, remove addictions, bad energies and negative vibrations.
Third is called Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. This is a distance symbol that is used to enable the Reiki channel to be able to channel Reiki at a distance regardless if this event happened in the past, the present or the future.
This is an aggregate from the 5 Japanese kanji namely; source, origin, person, right or just, correct certainly and thought or idea. It is also know as a Buddhist chant which means right consciousness is the root of everything.
The fourth symbol is the Tamarasha. It is a basically a balancing and unblocking symbol that may ground and balance energy.
The fifth and last symbol is known as DaiKoMyo that is used to initiate a student to various initiatory Reiki degrees. This is considered to be the most powerful symbol and can only be used by Reiki masters.
This symbol is used t heal the soul since it deals with the person’s spiritual self that can cure a disease or illness from the original source in the aura or energy fields. It can also provide enlightenment and peace as it allows the person to become more intuitive and psychic.
Each of these symbols are activated by drawing them in the palm of your hand, visualizing it or spelling the symbols’ name three times. Then this is placed or drawn on the client’s chakra, hands or wherever this should be treated.
Symbols have power and if you can’t remember how to right it correctly, try recalling the alias because this can also be used to harness that energy. With practice, you will no longer need to remember how they look because you will be able to harness it when needed.
Now that the Reiki symbols have been revealed, you will now be able to use them. Just remember that it is the intention that really matters because as mentioned earlier, each of them are used for various things.
And using the right one is the only way you will be able to solve a problem whether it is physical, mental or psychological.
